Randolph Tom

Randolph L. Tom was elected non-executive Chairman of Santa Maria & Company (SMC) in 2009 to further the firm's development of its expanding services to a broadening clientele. He also serves as the Chairman of Dynasty Capital Services LLC, a strategic and financial advisory service firm founded in 1988. In building Dynasty into one of the country's most prominent firms focused on corporate development. Randy has been extensively involved in advising clients on corporate development in a variety of industries ranging from high technology semiconductor companies operating globally to information and mobile software applications. At SMC, Randy concentrates his efforts in establishing strategic alliances with other service providers, expanding the firm's exposure throughout California through web and seminar marketing programs and developing new business opportunities.

Having advised on more than $5B in over 100 transactions from seed capital to billion dollar mergers, Randy has advanced the corporate objectives of multinational clients through a unique network of trusted professional relationships. Utilizing a combination of his extensive knowledge of the corporate governance and securities laws with his successful experiences as a public company executive and serial entrepreneur, Randy brings a unique background to his clients who are Boards of Directors members, Chief Executives and senior management of publicly listed and privately held multinational firms. A certified California insurance broker, he is a candidate for the Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designation, Randy has spoken often at industry and university conferences and has lectured at the graduate school of business at the University of San Francisco and Santa Clara University.

Randy began his career on Wall Street as a securities lawyer with the New York office of Fulbright & Jaworski and was previously the head of the Asia-Pacific practice of a Silicon Valley law firm. Earning his JD, MBA and BS degrees with honors from New York University's joint programs at the age of 23, Randy is admitted to practice law in New York, California, and the District of Columbia (Re'td). A former adjunct law professor in corporate/securities law, Randy is a member of the Executive Advisory Board of the University of San Francisco Center for the Pacific Rim and most recently, also served as a board member of Zerodivide.org, a charitable foundation supported by AT&T, the Google and Ford Foundations and other notable institutions. At Zerodivide, he served as Chairman of its Fund Development Committee in leading its matching $50 million funding goal. Randy resides in Moraga, California with his wife, Dr. Linda Wong, his two teenage children and Smoky, the family's devoted Australian cattle dog.
